		<description>I had never thought about it, but its true- Mego did not do a very good job at taking credit for their work with kids.  I don't know that it would have made a difference as the company began to slide, but it surely wouldn't have hurt.

This and the items you revealed in your book about other examples of poor promotion (the later waves of WGSH) has taken some of the shine of of Mego for me.  Its  not a bad thing, per se. In fact, its really helped me give the company more context and helped me understand their fall.</description>

		<description>I wish I could remember when I knew about "Mego".  I can't recall if when I first went looking for them again I knew what they were called. I don't know if I knew the word when I was a kid,, but i suspect taht having seen it stamped on the back of the figures I habitually dressed and undressed it's possible I knew Mego as a word....

That Alden's logo looks like the love child of the old and new Mego logos...</description>
