Daily Mego Adoration Here’s our Daily Mego Adoration for Thursday, March 27, 2008:

Poster Fun: 2nd Issue ©1976 DC Cards!

Here’s a new addition to my Poster Fun series, wherein I create large, composite photos of different groupings of Mego Super-Heroes and packages. Today, we marvel (ahem!) at every 2nd Issue ©1976 DC card, in chronological order of release. There are 13 such cards. Enjoy!

Another Winner!!!!! Great photo!! I would consider myself a Marvel guy, but there is just something about the 76 DC cards. Looking forward to future updates.

The pinnacle of all Mego goodness, laid out right there! I finally snagged a 76 Joker to complete my 76 DC 2nd issue card series. Can’t wait for it to arrive so I can sit back at home and enjoy the beauty in person!

I am getting my 1976 Superman in a couple of days. Ben, I am working on getting all the Supes on boxes and cards like we talked about at Wizard.

Benjamin, you have pictures of all of the 75 Marvel cards in the book, right? Did you mean 75a?

Jay, I can’t wait to see that Superman photo! I hope you’ll let me post it here when you do it!

Dan, yah I thought doing the 75b cards would kind of defeat the purpose, since Mego discontinued so many amazing characters before issuing it. Don’t you agree? I mean, it would still look cool, but it would lack your awesome Iron Man, Green Goblin et al.

I would prefer to do the ©1975a card, but I know I don’t have any shots of either the 75a Spider-Man OR the 75a Hulk.

    I suppose I could do a combo (mix 75a and 75b) shot?

Benjamin, I was thinking that a combo 75a/75b shot would still be pretty cool, although not as ‘perfect’ as an all 75a shot and not completely analagous to the 76 DC shot.

Dan, you’re right. It would still look pretty cool. OK, I’ll do it!

I second the request for the 75a/75b combo shot.

Your wish is my command. The 75a/75b Combo shot will be next Wednesday’s Daily Mego Adoration. It looks suh-weet.
